An Emerald in a Work of Gold: music from the Dow Partbooks – click here

A workshop by Zoom for singers with Rory McCleery

24 June 7.30-9pm
Booking is now open. Click above.

In this workshop we delve into the extraordinary diversity of music found in the private manuscript collection belonging to sixteenth-century bibliophile Robert Dow.

Rory McCleery is the founder and musical director of The Marian Consort (
www.marianconsort.co.uk), with whom he performs across the UK and Europe. They appear regularly on the radio both in the UK and abroad. Rory is also in demand as a guest conductor, chorus master and workshop leader.

Music of Celebration

We are delighted to give advance notice of EEMF's next early music weekend at Thaxted, Essex, Music of Celebration, 8–10 October.
This year marks the 400th anniversary of the death of Michael Praetorius. Our programme will include his spectacular 16-part
In dulci jubilo and works by Gabrieli and Schütz. We will need trumpets, trombones, oboes, sackbuts, cornets, strings and continuo as well as solo and choir singers.

Help us to celebrate the unlocking of music-making from coronavirus restrictions!

We will be directed by Patrick Craig who led our similar event in 2019.

Click on the above link for booking. Don't delay! Places may be limited.
